End the US War with Iran

Whereas: There is no clear reason why the United States is at war with Iran, it is apparent this is a war of choice.  It has been stated that waging this war is necessary to prevent Iran from having a nuclear weapon; this contradicts earlier claims that prior attacks on Iran “completely obliterated” their ability to produce such a weapon.  Over 3,000 lives have been needlessly lost in Iran, including 160 school children, for which there has not been an apology.

Therefore, we the undersigned urge an end to this needless war of choice.

In 2012, the Obama Administration created several severe economic sanctions to prevent Iran from producing a nuclear weapon.  This includes the Comprehensive Iran Sanctions Accountability and Divestement Act (CISADA).    In 2015, twelve nations placed severe economic sanctions (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action — JCPOA) to prevent Iran from making a nuclear weapon or procuring the means to do so.  Also under the Obama Administration, the central banking system of Iran was greatly monitored.  Thus, the war against Iran by the Trump administration is needless, as measures to prevent Iran from producing a nuclear were already in place.

Further insight on this being a war of choice by the Trump administration is linked to strong possibility that Benjamin Netanyahu persuaded President Donald Trump to attack Iran for the protection of Israel.
