Below are the titles and text of each petition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Maintain Veterans Administration Health Care Funding<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>To:<\/strong> our current and future U.S. Senators<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bills are pending in the U.S. House (H.R.9237) and U.S. Senate (S.4744) to reduce funding for certain benefits in order to fund other programs. We the undersigned demand Congress oppose the &#8220;Take Care of America&#8217;s Veterans Act\u201d and maintain all current veteran health care benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">View <a href=\"http:\/\/ncpeacebooth.org\/content\/2026-documents\/maintain-va-health-care-funding\/\">additional information and<\/a> resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br><strong>End the US War with Iran<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>To:<\/strong> our current and future U.S. Senators<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Whereas<\/strong>: There is no clear reason why the United States is at war with Iran, it is apparent this is a war of choice.&nbsp; It has been stated that waging this war is necessary to prevent Iran from having a nuclear weapon; this contradicts earlier claims that prior attacks on Iran \u201ccompletely obliterated\u201d their ability to produce such a weapon.&nbsp; Over 3,000 lives have been needlessly lost in Iran, including 160 school children, for which there has not been an apology. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Therefore<\/strong>, we the undersigned urge an end to this needless war of choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">View <a href=\"http:\/\/ncpeacebooth.org\/content\/2026-documents\/end-the-us-war-with-iran\/\">additional information and resources<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>End ICE Human Rights Violations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>To:<\/strong> our current and future U.S. Senators<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Whereas<\/strong>: Immigrants are an integral part of our community. They care for our children, our elderly, and our sick. They do the hard and necessary work that makes our communities better places to live together. In NC alone, undocumented immigrants contributed over $692M to state and local taxes (NC Budget and Tax Center, 2022). US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is terrorizing these honorable people, destroying their families, imprisoning their children and killing innocent people, including US citizens;<br><strong>Therefore<\/strong>: We demand our NC Congressional delegation strip ICE of its funding until their enforcement policies protect all human rights, dignity, and life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">View <a href=\"http:\/\/ncpeacebooth.org\/content\/2026-documents\/reform-ice\/\">additional information and resources<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are offering three petitions this year.
