{"id":96,"date":"2014-05-28T00:19:13","date_gmt":"2014-05-28T00:19:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ncpeacebooth.org\/content\/?page_id=96"},"modified":"2025-10-13T16:34:10","modified_gmt":"2025-10-13T16:34:10","slug":"guidelines-for-faith-based-peace-statements-distributed-at-the-peace-booth","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/ncpeacebooth.org\/content\/materials\/guidelines-for-faith-based-peace-statements-distributed-at-the-peace-booth\/","title":{"rendered":"Guidelines for Faith Based Peace Statements Distributed at the Peace Booth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"color: #000000;\">If you know that a Peace Statement is not on display at the Peace Booth, and would like one for your organization or faith to be available,\u00a0<strong>please<\/strong>\u00a0help us by obtaining or originating a new Peace Statement, using the following guidelines.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"color: #000000;\">Form required for the Peace Statements on display at the Peace Booth<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"color: #000000;\">\n<li>Single sided 8 \u00bd X 11\u00a0<strong>white<\/strong>\u00a0sheet of paper, to be displayed in portrait (tall) orientation.<\/li>\n<li>Bold organization name at the top for easy identification by passers by.<\/li>\n<li>Clear statement of hopes, dreams and actions for nonviolent peace with justice.<\/li>\n<li>Identification of the source of the text and date of origination is very useful.<\/li>\n<li>Please provide formatted originals (HTML, Google Docs, Open Office Writer, Microsoft Word, or PDF format acceptable) so we may include the statement on our\u00a0<a title=\"Church Statements on Peace\" href=\"http:\/\/ncpeacebooth.org\/content\/church-statements-on-peace\/\">website<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">You may view some sample statements at\u00a0<\/span><strong style=\"color: #000000;\"><a title=\"Church Statements on Peace\" href=\"http:\/\/ncpeacebooth.org\/content\/church-statements-on-peace\/\">Church statements on peace<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"color: #000000;\">Handling of the Peace Statements<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"color: #000000;\">\n<li>Please notify the Steering Committee at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:info&#64;&#110;&#99;&#112;&#101;&#97;&#99;&#101;&#98;&#111;&#111;&#116;&#104;&#46;&#111;&#114;&#x67;?subject=Faith%20Based%20Peace%20Statements\">inf&#111;&#64;&#110;&#99;&#x70;&#x65;&#x61;&#x63;&#x65;&#x62;&#x6f;oth&#46;&#111;&#114;&#103;<\/a>\u00a0before initiating a new draft.<\/li>\n<li>The Steering Committee will review new or updated Peace Statements from June until September.<\/li>\n<li>The Steering Committee is responsible for originating\/updating Peace Statements.<\/li>\n<li>The Steering Committee is responsible for soliciting new Peace Statements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"color: #000000;\">Copying of Peace Statements<\/h3>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">After approval, please make and submit 100 copies of the Peace Statement. The Peace Booth Committee will make additional copies as required.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"color: #000000;\">Updating the Peace Statements<\/h3>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">Sometimes a Peace Statement becomes outdated. Anyone is welcome to update it. Please eliminate duplication by notifying the Steering Committee at\u00a0<a href=\"&#x6d;&#97;&#x69;&#x6c;&#116;&#x6f;&#x3a;&#105;&#x6e;&#x66;&#111;&#x40;&#x6e;c&#x70;&#x65;a&#x63;&#101;b&#x6f;&#111;t&#x68;&#46;o&#x72;&#103;?subject=Faith%20Based%20Peace%20Statements\">&#x69;&#x6e;&#102;&#111;&#64;n&#x63;&#x70;&#x65;&#97;&#99;eb&#x6f;&#x6f;&#x74;&#104;&#46;o&#x72;&#x67;<\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"color: #000000;\">Unacceptable information on a Peace Statement.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">Peace Statements are only for fairgoer&#8217;s information. No form of solicitation will be accepted by the Steering Committee.
